About
Alexandra is a writer and creator from Coventry. Part of a large Irish family, she has always supported the creative scene in the city.
Chair of the Spon Spun Festival, she has been commissioned by BBC Radio, theatres local and nationally and has worked on commissions for Coventry UK City of Culture with Oi Bokkshi Theatre in Japan, Enterlechy Arts at The Albany Deptford as well as the Royal Shakespeare Company.
She has an MA in Writing from the University of Warwick and as well as performing her own work, runs writing and storytelling workshops encouraging others to find their voice.
Alexandra has a particular interest in working with the older community and vulnerable people within the city. She dabbles in stand-up.
News from Alex:
My short film Widow's Might was broadcast on Sky Arts as part of the Unlocked series. It has since been nominated for several film awards including Short is Beautiful, CFK and RTA West Midlands.
